We had an awesome day too. It was gloriously sunny and spring-like all day. The ***** willow is now out with it's tiny creature like furry pre-flowers, there were golden daffodils everywhere and lovely red tulips. Not forgetting, of course, the pink and cream coloured blossoms. Just perfect. Spring is the most beautiful season here, a real affirmation of the cycle of life. Hope you all had equally lovely days too.

Yesterday morning was lovely here - went down the stables and people were in T-shirts for the first time this year (looking very white!!)

Lovely - spring is here, and if the weather keeps on this way the horses will be out in the fields at the end of this week instead of being cooped up in their stables. No more bucking broncos for another 7 months! Can't wait!

Hope you're all having a nice Easter Monday too - sun's shining, birds are singing but I can't be as poetic as Amanda!

Hi All,

I love hearing about all of the different places that we are from, it all sounds great. Here in Florida, we should be in the pool next Sunday. I can't wait.

Talking Re: Spring has Sprung

All of the UK is enjoying the arrival of spring - a great time of year. Here in Virginia we're have a much needed light rain. Too many dry days in the 70's and 80's this spring. Everthing is ahead of schedule on the blooming cycle. Baby ducks on the pond already. Good golf from April through November. Fewer web site changes. You'll know when it rains here - I'll be checking in on BV during the day.

Enjoy

Now that's just rubbing it in! Won't be warm enough for anything like that here for another couple of months - and only then if we are lucky!!

Still, I'm off to California in five weeks time - can't wait!

Smile Re: happy easter to the BV gang

Nothing personal: I've been in the UK at all seasons and when the chill gets in the air the warm and friendly pubs took the edge off. Still have my custom darts, just in case.

Enjoy CA. Where abouts will you be visiting?

That's a good question! Apart from starting and ending our holiday with my brother who lives near San Diego, we don't really have any ideas where we are going. Quite fancy taking a closer look at the Grand Canyon, or heading into Arizona.

If anyone has any tips or ideas what we could do that's different from the main tourist spots (we've been over a few times and have done the main sights to death!) I'd be very grateful!

Oh, and I'm not really moaning about the UK - it just seems to have been a very long winter over here.

Cheers

Ahhh Las Vegas - not sure if we've got the energy this year! We've been a few times already - love the place, but you can have too much of a good thing!

Hey Trish - you want a laid back anti Vegas try Charma, New Mexico. Great operating steam locomotives, cold beer, characters and good scenery all around. They have an active web site (several, really) one of which is run by "the relative you don't talk about in public". But a good guy and a great photographer.

The crocuses are up in my yard here in NH. Now if my geese would stop eating the stalks, they don't eat the flower, I could get to see them, ;). I went all day without wearing a jacket, vest or sweater, things are warming up.

It was so nice I gave myself the day off, or most of it, and just had to go shopping. Isn't that what you're supposed to do when it's nice, none of this working out in the yard stuff. That's what the neighbor's teenager is for? He doesn't come back until Sat., I can't wait, somebody's got to do some work out there - I should really stay in here!:) yuck, yuck, yuck "three stooges style"
