A Novel Approach to Saving Money


Three engineers and three accountants are traveling by train to a conference. At the station, the three accountants each buy tickets and watch as the three engineers buy only a single ticket.

"How are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asks an accountant.

"Watch and you'll see," answers an engineer.

They all board the train. The accountants take their respective seats but all three engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them. Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the restroom door and says, "Ticket, please."

The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on.

The accountants saw this and agreed it was quite a clever idea. So after the conference, the accountants decide to copy the engineers on the return trip and save some money (being clever with money, and all that). When they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the engineers don't buy a ticket at all.

"How are you going to travel without a ticket?" says one perplexed accountant.

"Watch and you'll see," answers an engineer.

When they board the train the three accountants cram into a restroom and the three engineers cram into another one nearby. The train departs. Hey Girl: Well that little soon to be grand-daughter of mine is still baking in the oven. Twice now she has tried to come into this world and both times the Drs. have stopped the labor. So...her due date is June 26, but I really don't think she's going to last that long. My son and his wife live in San Diego, CA (he is in the Navy). He just left for a 2 week stint out on the ocean, so of course, I'll bet she'll come while he is out. He want's so much to be there when she is born. Oh well, that comes with the territory when you join the Navy. Anyway, I hope that soon I'll be able to announce the birth and post a pic. Have a good day!!

I had a perm throughout the 70's ... and beyond lol and its much easier to manage than my straight lank hair beleive me.....perms today arent like they were in those days you know lol ....ther much more gentle now ..just give you that extra bit of body ....more like a shaggy dog than a poodle now lol

No I dont know that...lol...see its been a while..guess I gave up on them too soon!...I did it from the 70's - the 80's...well if it was short then yea I liked it...but I wanted long hair..and thats when the poodle came about...lol..or at least thats what my sister called me!....lol
I went to Obriens school of cosmotology and thats when I two gentlemen from London that were there that infamous day and chopped off my very long poodle, I came out with very very short hair...I loved it myself, but everyone hated it!...oh well, they didnt have to live with it..lol..look at it tho...lol

I remember my Mum having what was, at the time, called an 'afro'. It was hideous. Really, really hideous. She looked like she had hardly any hair and it was horrid. Lol. You're right they do smell terrible!

I remember my Mum having what was, at the time, called an 'afro'. It was hideous. Really, really hideous. She looked like she had hardly any hair and it was horrid. Lol. You're right they do smell terrible!

I dont know if there is a difference between the waters or not. but my great aunt used to get a perm and her hair was blue?.....lol not like the blues here but tinted...are you familiar with that?
when I was young I never wanted to dye my hair because I thought that what older people had to have....lol...
