Thread: Drive-by shooting!!!!

I live in a really quiet, green and peaceful part of England. On a housing estate. It's a regular sleepy Saturday night. Not even singing drunks tonight.

There has just been a drive-by shooting right outside my house!!!!!!! Car stopped, big shot, car screeches off! Flashing blues and crime-scene tape everywhere!!

I can't believe it. I don't think anyone was hurt, maybe just a warning shot but, flippin' 'eck!!!!!!

Cripes. Just thought I'd share.

i lived in longsight for a while and if there wasnt a gunshot that night i would wake up , for real lol for 2 years i thought my television made a funny wirring noise until i realised it was the helicopters above our street

Amanda - I totally understand. I grew up in a small-quiet-crime free-college town, so gunshots were things my brothers did while target shooting. Never anything to cause you to jump or fear...
One night after going to bed, I heard a "backfire", from what I thought..I rolled over and thought jeeze buddy get your car fixed! and went to sleep. To awake and find that someone had been shot right across the street no more than 200ft away from me while I slept...very strange.
I didnt hear anything more as I had turned on my radio and my curtains were dark and closed tight to drown out the street lights and traffic sounds..very eerie, I can empathize!

I go to Longsight now and again to visit one of our offices. You can't help looking nervously around as you drive there. Then again I worked in Openshaw until a couple of months ago and that was about the same, lol. When the Openshaw office shut down we went to Newton Heath, out of the frying pan into the fire hey.

LOL. It seems sooo strange coming on here and reading about the places just down the road from where I live. Lol.

its weird but i thought that to and doesnt it show you what a small world we live in , weird to think how many people there are to have vodahost etc and then to come on a forum and a few of the regular people are local mind blowing stuff realy when you think about it , right another can of lager is needed
