Thread: Lovely start to a Sunday!

Went down to the stables this morning to find that the miniature horse, Lucy, had surprised everyone by having her first foal overnight, despite giving no signs of the birth being close, and despite the vet warning nminiatures often have difficulties giving birth!

Little Laura, a chestnut filly standing about 18 inches tall and weighing less than the yard cat is soooooooo sweet! Of course I didn't have my camera with me, but will be taking photos to go on the website later. If anyone wants to see pictures with a definite AHhhhhh factor, check out my website later!

The foal has been named for the girl who looks after the miniatures and who had the lovely surprise of finding her this morning!

I will also be putting up some video I took of her (the foal) wobbling to her feet and suckling if the film came out ok!

right folks - video now up too. I can't figure out how to get it better than this, so the first time it plays it stops and starts etc, but the second time you view it it will go smoothly.

Congratulations!! What a sweety (looking at the pictures) I can't video to play either says,"Page cannot be displayed". Looking forward to it!
