Default Complete UK novice saying hello.

Hi all, just a quick hello, paid for my hosting and domain earlier, a very nervous time, as done nothing like this before, and I'm not overly good with computers, but have been playing with the web builder for a while, and getting familiar with it.

Anyway hello.

Welcome to VodaLand, CarTech!

As Major General Amanda stated, you are truly welcome, and take heart that every one of us began our web design experience just as you are now!
The tutorials are great, and honestly the answers to almost all of your questions can be found in the various Forums, although you might have to drill in a bit to see some of the earlier postings. I am sure you will be fine, and there is always someone close by to give you a hand up!

Looking forward to the time you share your accomplishments so we can smother you with Kudos!

Welcome to another Brit! Someone else who will understand all about the English cuppa!

We were all in the same boat as you at first - website building seems very daunting at first, but with BV it is soooo easy! You will probably find that you get addicted to it like the rest of us!

These forums and the tutorials will give you all the help you need. And if you get stuck there is always someone here who will go out of their way to help you!

We have ENTIRELY too many Englishters on this forum! They spell tire as tyre, color as colour and poop as...well, they get that one right. No more Englishters!

Just kidding, welcome to VodaHost!

(For anyone curious about where the term 'Englishter' comes from you have to be familiar with the Andy Griffith Show, which ran on TV in the late 60's and early 70's.)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with discussing the many uses of a Gillette Mach 3, my former friend. LOL

And as far as the term 'yankster', yes it is used here, but I best not explain how.

Hey Cartech
Welcome to the land of the Voda.
You will find that this is where the spelling differences don't mean a thing really, even though the yanks can't talk proper like wot we can. Get building and you will soon find that its all a lot easier than you think.

Does this place get any better?? Cheap hosting, free web building tools, and the friendliest welcome ever, what can I say, apart from thank you very much.

I'm from Cambridge (Cambridgeshire)

I should be opening a bike shop, and not a garage considering all the bliming bikes round this way, the UK's Amsterdam :D without the drugs or women of horizontal refreshment (well not legal anyway lol)

Nice to know it's like a community here and not just a techy help forum.

Thanks again all.
