Thread: A Voda get together in the isalnds?

Hey everybody,

I was jsut thinking would it not be great to have a Voda get together in Jamaica (yes I'm promoting my island-love it here) OR somewhere else?
sort of a Annual meeting of the great minds ( as well as some of us lower beings who are allowed to lurk in the background somewhere).
It's a thought and we have enough people on this forum with travel background to make it happen in a great way.

Noting how whacko most of feel nowadays, I can just imagine us all at Hedonism III.......OMG, on second thought, Beaches Negril because some of will have to bring the kids and make a vacation out of it!!!

I vote ***** hosts us at Corporate for a YiaYia home-made lunch!!
THEN he and Brad along with George and yes, even Sarah, can take us on the town!!! Do they have an Opa! in Deleware? Do they have ANYTHING in Delware????

And for all those who've been following my dating exploits, here's my Tammy as featured in the "Get Married Atlanta" TV show that aired over the weekend on PAX.....it's a clip from the "Ask The Experts" segment. This is going national, and she is the co-host for a year....pretty proud of her!
(She's does not normally talk this way - it was the 5th 'take' after prodding her to "pump it" more and more...it's so odd to see her doing her best to talk like she's on radio or something! LOL)

I'm trying my *darnedest* to finish up situating my retail showrooms and my internet interests so I can stop "dating" her and we can actually remarry sometime this Spring.....it's getting old flying back and forth CA>FL every month, meeting up on occasional mini-vacations (Antigua, Turks, Jamaica, Bahamas, etc.)....

Wow - what a beautiful lady. I hope I get to meet you both when you visit. YEs I got the Beaches hints....ROLF....I agree...best place in JA is Negril. Still doesn't have that tourist feel and the only place with so many dining options for food-a-holics like me.

I love jerk chicken! and used to have a drink I cant remember what its called but its gingerbeer and red stripe...I was on the raggae commity for 5yrs here in vermont and that was what I liked when we got together at the "caribbian corner" in burlington.
Ive always had a love of Jamaica and have wanted to visit for years...Id be there in spirit! or in person if I can make some REAL money!...otherwise, Im poor and only travel by foot up the road to Jobs pond...
great idea tho!
Maybe VH can come up with some kind of contest for site building or something that poor ones like me have a change to WIN a ticket to the party!....

That would be great. On an annual basis each country gets to organise it by all users in that specific country.

That a good idea Bruce....each year being in a different area it would give everyone a chance to be able to attend..

All interested must really get together (via mail etc or travelling will cost a small fortune) and brainstorm to get it off the ground, whatdyall think?

As a MicroSoft Partner, VodaHost could begin the whole process by planning a Global Webinar (VodaWorld) very inexpensively with favorable costs as the first celebration (of sorts) to gather Members together on a single day to sit in on some Mini-Conferences (like Meet VH Staff, New Features, TechTalk, etc.). Based on the success of this (and by setting the precedence of "gathering"), it may be possible to allow even "unsanctioned" group functions like we have been discussing. It would have to be voluntarily organized, and our association/promotion of VodaHost would then be more like a 'fan club' to keep things strictly legal, of course.....at first. Based on how things continue, maybe VH would take another look.

As the leading Agency, and with distinctive Prestige among the properties mentioned, Elite Travel would have the ability to organize such an event, and be in the position to arrange special concessions from the properties not available even from other agencies (everything from pricing, upgrades, ameneties, "conference" arrangements, tours, etc.). This pricing advantage alone would make the project feasable for those who might not otherwise be able to consider such an offer.......
I know Bee, but the power of being a true Premier agency is really something not to take advantage of. You could still work in concert, handling all the on-site details, as an "organizer"???

I really think that this might be the way for VH to start....if GoDaddy can have radio brodcasts and advant garde commercials, and Microsoft their "Camps", Oracle with their Conclaves, why can't we have a VodaWorld Conference?? It would surely garner a lot of promotional value, even if it is a "flop"!!! And, it would draw us closer, and sustain the spirit singular to VodaHost as truly the Provider that personally serves people...........

Hmmmm..........how long have I been talking about this now?? Three months, and then Bee picks up on the same feeling too?? Methinks maybe there is a rumbling desire flowing through the ranks.....
