My msn allows me to blosk sender. However if the sender doesn't have a dedicated ip address and is on your server I could end up blocking you.
some of these bastards have even blocked my blocking and need to un subscribe which it's back to being put on another list....and so on and ...so on. It's like dividing by zero in math, a true consperacy perpatrated by a true confederacy of dunces. If I ever find out how to trap them, well I wont eat them like our alien friend but would gladly assist
    in the field dressing.

Ya gotta help me find out how to download this, my friend....would I be able to simply "swap out" the file?? (Keeping the skin) Or re-do everything...flushing the folder, and starting from scratch + re-installing DAJ Glass?

WHOOPS! No jargon in here....SSSssshhhhhh! whisper.....

Did you find the download for the phpBB3 beta? If not, it's here: http://www.phpbb.com/development/

I wouldn't recommend using it in a live environment, though. They have enough bugs in final releases, let alone betas. LOL

I have it zipped on my C: ......
I would like to drop it into a separate directory, and see if I can force my "skin" on it, but am fumbling with the install jargon....(not being in Fantastico! I don't know if I should install a second BB via F! and install v.3 over it, or set up an empty folder via FTP and jam it in or what)...

Yeah.....you are missed, you crazy road hog!

It's starting to look cheap, vBulletin that is! LOL

How much time have you already spent trying to build a phpBB forum? How much more time will you spend trying to get the phpBB2 forum running the way you want while knowing all along that you'll have to rebuild it when phpBB3 comes out in its final release?

Calculate that and take a look at the man hours involved - if you were paying someone by the hour to do the phpBB stuff, you'd lose a lot of money over buying a vB license.

I'm telling you, and I've said it before, I was a loyal phpBB user until we installed vBulletin for the new site. I spent hours upon hours building things into my old phpBB forum that vBulletin provides by default.

vBulletin just released a new version on Thursday and it is awesome. I'm sure ***** will have this place upgraded in the next few days and you'll be able to see it for yourself.

All that being said, I'll still help you with the phpBB stuff. The timing was bad last time we talked - I got tied up and then you went out of town.

    Appreciate it, General Sir.
Truly! It will be money well-spent, and all I want is pretty basic stuff.
And....you already know what kind of "look" I am after, so.....around the 15th - after I pay a s***load of bills, ok? (so far, I'm up to about $###K, and hopefully I'll have some grocery money left! LOL)

You old tire-burner.....you probably T-P'd plenty of houses in the day, huh?

LOL If you're talking about getting that sub forum thing done, I'll do it for you over the next couple days and we'll worry about the details later.

No, I never tp'd any houses, but I was always happy to stand by and drink a beer as my friends did so. (Told 'em I was watching for the cops and they bought it every time.)

    "There's Magic in VodaLand!"

Although the above is true, but I am still waiting for good directions to the Money Tree to pick up MY share of the 'fruit'.....
And as far as Fairies go, I tend to believe Elves first: at least they don't complain that they "simply have nothing to wear".....

Hi gang. I've looked for questions to help with but you guys are all doing such a sterling job, I may as well retire! VH keeps giving me a guilt trip everytime I log in - saying I haven't posted in a while so I guess I'm reduced to small talk in 'Our Place'.

Hey Alien, hey Vasili, Hey CircusPet, Hey WSBlue, hey David, hey Kate, and just so I don't seem rude hey Linda, hey Racefan and anyone I've missed (because they weren't on the list of posts below my 'reply to thread' page!). I hope you're all okay.

I see that General ***** has given you yet more reasons to stay around here and play instead of getting your work done. Hmmmm. Like that's needed. I highly recommend 'Ball Breaker'. It's a great way not to get a website finished. Keep up the good work, VodaBuddies. See ya soon.

Ahhh, General Sweetness! Don't beg off on us!!!!
You ARE needed to not only balance the tetosterone level in the Forum, but to pull the eclectic solutions our of your sweater pocket!

(And yes, I admit, my projects have suffered since Race's departure, but we have new issues and newer rank filling in quite well!)

***** doesn't even swing through the trees as often as he used to! (You know...up to monkey business....but he does still pepper the threads with issues to keep us jabbering for a few days...)

Say Hi to Dan...let him know he's got mail from me! (Missed him Sunday)
And what's up with Gary going AWOL?? Is he too busy to say Hi also?
Tell him to park the Lorrie and spill some goodies too....

    Best Always!

I suspect that you will be hearing from Racefan soon enough, but will pass on your greeting all the same. Allstar is on his holidays and will be back in about a week or so. Yes, I think some of the issues that ***** tries to bring to people's attention are very worthy indeed, it's unfortunate that there are many deaf ears about. I enjoy his posts and his penchant for bringing controversial issues to the fore. Alas, it would seem, that not everyone agrees. I personally find the thought, that so many people place so much trust in the media, a very frightening one indeed. That's enough controversy from me for today.

I know.....I've gotten quite piggish when scarfing down whatever lunch I can cram in my mouth since you've been away....Sorry!
    LOL

Did you notice the thread "evaporating" on us a while back? I imagine it was due to an "inadvertant inferrance" on a particular organization.....

Talking Re: Our Place - Mk II - Drop in for a chat!

Looks like the Couple's Anniversary will be the first time back (Oct??)......the TI Best of the Best is in Mexico this year (whatever for???), but before that is Sandals BOTB/Chairman's Choice/Star awards in NY (again...how boring, full of stuffy/stodgy people that should have died years ago...LOL).

I get to fly back and forth to FL every month, and it looks like we'll squeeze in a week at Barts/Kits before Thanksgiving (Nov). Honestly, it's not the same anymore.....I think I just can be comfortable in Jamaica and Turks....thing about JAM is that all the good friends have died, and the up-and-comers are just so not real, ya know?? They are TOO touristy, if you know what I mean....being Jamerican is such a burden...

I've spent about 2 months total doing the VH thing, but really only about a month doing the web stuff....the other chunk of my life has been farting in this Forum. I really must erase it from my IE Fav's and get my productive life back!!! (Seems like a lot of the new crew is still not up to par, and the incessant scrambling for attention at the expense of really helping is making me feel as if I am getting old, the kids running around my legs like mosquitos.....LOL)

You already know Race bid adeiu, but he and I have been working on some of my stuff, and he still pops in (probably to see if I am following his example and not forgetting..). I will probably be evaporate soon, too, I have to finish up.

Sharon has done good keeping us happy with her jokes (some of the newbies has followed suit to an excruciating level), and Kate pops in regularly. I don't really hear much from Beth, Trish, Linda+Amanda (they're still "roomies" and sharing dialup - besides, 'Manda is working with Race), and even David is becoming intermittent - although he is being of tremendous help with the techno stuff, filling in for Race and the very quiet Naval (a new thing, I guess). Andy (you know his real name) The WonderMan has been in and out, busy at work, so I've TRIED to pick up the slack....even did a little php counselling! Matter of fact, we spoke for a while on the phone earlier tonight (he's 3 hours ahead of me).

Alien and I have been working via email on our Forum stuff, and he too is becoming busier > his Forum crashed just tonight! Haven't seen hide nor hair of Whatdaflip, so I suspect he's busy working his scripts....either from VH Classifieds or in "real life".

Some Jr Grade Officers have become players, and are getting the hang rather nicely....you'll spot them.

But.....it IS GOOD to have you back, MissyB!!! And I really shall look you and yours up when I hit the shore. I can already hear our laughter and smell the air....like coming home, you know? And me getting all fidgety scamming up another bottle of me Ting to wash down the cigar I still think I am "sneaking" so well...LOLOLOL (She lets me get away with it more when we're on the island, I suppose!) Funny...

I might be coming in earlier too....maybe in time to make the crab crossing up in Negril!! Freaky sight, that. When's the Jazz festival this year?

Enough blabber from me now.....waiting to see you announcement that you have an eBook ready!! (You can do THAT, Bee! Maybe start one for the kids, about the island way's, ya tink? Something like whats you would do for your neice for Christmas, Girl!! Then...move into a recipe collection, and then a "travel/tour" primer....MoBay, Negril, Iron House, Legends, Heros, etc.)

Hmmmm....now I know me's got da lady spinning her head 'round dat one!
    Cris, mon!

Hi Lincs! I've just been watching the news too, and can't believe people complaining! If it were me I'd do anything to make sure that I can fly safe - actually I'd rather not fly at all in any event! This is all too scary for words!

Hey, Vasili - I'm still around - just got back from holiday, but need to work on my sites! Trying not too get too side tracked here!

Kudos for the catching the bad guys. I've traveled a lot and security has always been an issue, so arriving at an airport several hours ahead of time is no biggie, just have a good book and patience.

Now we can't brush our teeth on long flights, yuck.

Almost forgot, welcome Dennis, have fun in Vodaland.

Good news, yep, work, work, work, busy, busy, busy! That's us. I don't get by here so often these days, there are hardly ever any questions to answer when I do, so I just pop by every now and then. The next generation are doing a splendid job which is really nice to see. I can't believe, sometimes, how much this place has changed since I joined. It really was like a ghost town back then and it wasn't even a year ago! LOL Do you remember when people hardly ever posted in the chit-chat section? LOL It's come such a long way since then.

    GOOOOOOOOD Morning, General,Colonel!

My! Tea's hot, cakes on the plate, and I can actually smell the blooms!
Rather refreshing after all hte dram the last few days......
Amazing how things have changed since we were still in school, isn't it?
We've seen it go from black&white TV, to the Moon, to loss of many special leaders, ....it goes on. And now, you literally have a numbing "back-of-the-brain" feeling as if you have to look over you shoulder every time you leave the house! Pathetic....at least this time our brothers caught them (or most of them anyway). Being a civilian never used to be so nervy.

MY! Yes, you ladies look quite up to par today....I see the General is already scooping up solutions, no doubt in preparation for her BV book.
    Trish....how are YOU??

Mmmm....got a "dinger" (I put threads I'm helping on a doorbell of sorts).
See you soon....Good to see you Amanda...

The next generation are doing a splendid job which is really nice to see. I can't believe, sometimes, how much this place has changed since I joined. I know what you mean - I come here looking for a post to answer and they all been replied to! Like you though, I find I get too side tracked if I spend too much time here, and have to force myself to work on the sites! I have a brand new site which I haven't even started!

Nice to catch up with you now and then!

Hi Vasili - I'm fine. Just a wee bit concerned about the new bearded dragsons we have got - apart from being Michael's pets they are also the subject of our site, so if we have a problem with them.... Shrek is very quiet today and I'm thinking for goodness sake don't die!!! Hopefully all will be well.

Bit showery here today - moaned about the heat a few weeks ago and now I'm moaning 'cos it's cold! That's life eh?

Trish...methinks your dragons will be fine, but the "beasts" here in VodaLand are in peril!

(I think my humor and my personal perspectives have gotten me in hot water again.)

Cool Re: Our Place - Mk II - Drop in for a chat!

Geez, David....I don't know where to begin!
It seems the more I try to avoid the Forums (so I can actually get my work done myself) the more I feel compelled to offer my posts....and in trying to be ever more "brief" and "to the point" (as if to be clear and clearly understood without risk of mis-interpretation), the more I run into a wall of "I don't get it" or "How dare you!" type of reactions.....

Too much emotional response, and I feel obliged to THEN try to fix it or clean up the mess I seeming inspired!

Time to accept the fact I'm bald, and there is a lot more real work to do that the "good work" in this Forum...
    LOL

PS: Thanks again for forwarding to George...apparently they didn't go through either, so I tried to re-do the whole thing via my Juno account, as if emails coming from a .com were being blocked...

Then other times I wonder If he has received anything.

Didn't get this one, Rob...Am I that obtuse? Please re-word for this old codger...

    >> And Dave! Just got word they all went through, even my Juno ones....so he's working right now.
He did also state he removed the blocks, and for some reason, yours was on the list, and mine because they originated from a strict ".com" and looked like Spam.....Mexico poses more problems than the water, I guess!

    LOL
Like I said in a post a while back: We'd be dangerous at a party together, laughing hysterically at our own jokes despite anyone else present!

Why IS it everyone is wrapped so tight, anyway???? Is everyone struggling THAT hard for self-definition???? LOLOL Or just "webbing"?

(If everyone else even KNEW the load on my plate, they'd surely lose their appetite for life!)

When one is smart enough to think of thousand of reasons to hate others, must also be smart enough to think of another thousands of reasons to love others.
    or
Just BOMB each other, no need to think?
