I have several templates I can use however it seems I cannot open them in BV, I try using the selection, "all files" in the file opener but it doesn't want to open the template. The template aren't BV templates.          |

What file format are the templates? If they are JPGs/GiFs then you need to edit them in a photo/graphics editing application then insert them as images.
