Thread: Should a sitemap update automatically

I have a sitemap for my site using

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

Which seemed fine.

However I have added some extra pages to my site since then and they're not showing on the sitemap. Do I have to manually update it and upload it again or can this process be automated? I'm going to be adding photos and articles fairly regularly and don't really want to have to keep redoing it.

If you are using xml-sitemaps.com every time you add new page you should generate a new site map.

Is there a better alternative where it would do it automatically?
