Default Listing my webage on Search Engines

Is it necessary to add ur website/URL to a search engine for it to appear in search results. I just read about both Google and Yahoo that even though you can submit your url to them, they cannot guarantee that ur website will be displayed in their search engine.

If i wait for a few months after creating my website and my website has several hits on a dails basis, wouldn't it show up on its own on major search engine?

    Hello

Your site will be spidered by the search engines regardless of wether you submit your sites to them. Vodahost allows a free one time submission to search engines anyway.

Depending on how your site is optimised for search engines will determine where your keywords come in the search rankings.

Just looked at your site and your Meta Keywords are limited and fairly general. For instance you have "Paper" as a keyword which is fairly general if someone is doing a search. If you do a search on Keywords in the forum there are some good threads on the subject. Also search on Search Engine Optimisation or S.E.O.

Our resident Search Engine expert has a free e-book on the subject at this thread:

    Good luck

I have found that it usually helps avoiding getting sandboxed by Google if you just don't submit to them at all. Place your website link in your sig and post on forums such as this one that get crawled regularly and let Google and theother search engines follow your link and index you that way.

Just wanted to add that Google has already crawled and indexed your home page.
