Thread: How do I manage to appear on Google?

I know this might sound stupid, but I have no idea what I should do to come up when searching for myself on Google / Yahoo. I went through different threads in this forum, checked out most of the links etc.

But I still have no idea what i should do.

I have my meta-tags sorted out, I have normal text on the page (not images with text), and i can access the page by typing the adress in the address bar in IE7 & FireFox?

Can someone help!?!?!

PS my site is not yet completely online, only the index page and one of my 'main' 10 links

I'm publishing the other links now ...

We are a volunteer forum - helping each other as we have time. I don't suggest you should expect people to jump in and answer within seconds of posting. Calm down and stop and smell the roses, as they say.

Your site is brand spanking new -you are just publishing the pages. How do you expect to show up in the se results when the other sites of a similar nature have probably been up for a long, long time and are well established.

All that said- if you truly want anyone to look, you need to post your url.

You also could start by reading the seo book in my signature.
