Default Can a search engine see content in tables?

I have a lot of content,(text & banners) inside shapes,(rectangles) and tables. If the text that I created is not visible to search engines, then I want to get rid of the shapes & tables!

    Anyone know how that works?

    Thanks

There's no problem using the shapes and tables. SE's can read text within them - UNLESS you are adding the text as images. If you are adding the text on top as text - no problem.

Thanks, Beth. I'm sure glad of that! I didn't really want to get rid of my tables! I like the way they dress up the page, when you have a bunch of text to present!
But, I did want to get "credit" from those pesky search engines, for my content! Every little bit helps.....I hope!
