Thread: specific country optimisation

I have a .co.nz website and was wondering whether or not there was a keyword analyzer to count the number of searches, for say "environmental consulting" that have taken place just under the "search pages from New Zealand" part of google.

Also if a New Zealander searches the "the web" ( not "pages from NZ") is any special ranking privilage given to sites with a .co.nz domain?

1) I do not think there are any tools on the market that do GEO IP targeting for
keyword searches. I might be wrong, but I do not think so.

2) Only if he/she is searching on .co.nz specific search engine. For example most
people search Google.com , but Google also has http://www.google.co.nz that gives
priority to .co.nz domain names , but most people dont know this exists so the use
the .com version of Google and it all gets bunched in together.

when you advertise your site with Google adwords, you can specify GEO targeting.

I think o*****re has the right tools to estimate the geographic cpc, so I can use that as a yard stick.

1 more question, is there any way to estimate where my ad would place on google adwords or is it just a trial and error thing. Is there a website that has done this trial and error for most/all popular keywords and can estimate this.
