    Default renaming pages...

    Hi guys,

Just received an email from bluvoda re seo.

It´s advising me to rename all my pages with keywords in them.

Great advice but i have 2 questions...

I´m on page 1 of a google search for my keywords, ranked no. 7

So should i start messing with things? Will making these changes place me at the top, what we all want! Or will it cause problems like google having to find me all over again, making me drop off the list for a while or even for good!

Also I´m assuming that if i rename all the pages, i´ll have to rename all the links etc.. Is there a quick way to do this?

Or is the best way just to delete everything on my public folder, make all the neccessary changes in blue voda, and then republish?

    Hope someone can help,

    Many thanks,

    George

i dont think they want you to make a change as to how you save the page for example, aboutus - when you named this page in page properties window you probably named it About Us - what they are saying is, instead of naming your page About Us, name is All about .... and include keywords in your title. I hope this helps.

    go to page properties
in the title box rename your page for example instead of home you may want to put keywords here - dont put too many as i think there is a maximum. when done, just save the page as you have them, then publish the pages. don't have to change any linking as this is only a page title.
    hope this helps

I think what the title problem, not name, is....

like the page, history.html, has the page title of "Udonthani home" instead of "History of Udonthani" or "Udonthani, a step back in History" or "Udonthani, a History" or ...something rich with keyword phrases for that page individually....

Udonthani home should be something to do with the title of the index page, but tweaked to be better for the keyword phrases of the index page.

It is hard to understand the difference between title and name when you are first learning to build.

Title is what shows in the tab of the browser (and what you edit in the page properties box).

Name is what shows in the navigation bar of the browser (and what you save the page as).

I, personally, if I were you, would unfix, undo, revert back, etc. my page names.....

    and then.......FIX my page titles

    Best Regards,
