Thread: New meta tags

Some advice,please.......

After some consideration I have thought of some better metatags for my site.

The question is: if I change the metatags should I re-submit a sitemap, or will Google etc, just pick them up when I re-publish?

Also, what's the difference between a metatag and a keyword (if any)?

No need to create a new sitemap unless you add or delete a new page (change the site makeup). The bots will pick up your new tags and other "Content" changes during their regular visit, and appropriately cache these updates and attribute a greater value than previously, as updated sites reflect the "dynamics" that indicate to the SE bots that your site may predictively be a better 'resource' for them as they serve their Search Clients....

.... and definitely do not manually "re-submit" your site once indexed unless you are following a strict strategy defined within the parameters of acceptable Metrics.
If you are using a Google account to submit your sitemap, again, only do so if your site changes overall makeup of pages or structure.
