    Default sitemap assistance

Ive generated & published a sitemap but it does not show all the pages that are published.

It doesn't seem to register any pages that are in the dropdown list or in the bullet points (positioned top left of most pages)

    My site is called www.citylifelife.co.uk

Also, google webmaster tools states that there is no other sites linked to my site, but I know there is as I posted links to my site on some forums.

Any body got any ideas what the problems may be?

The sitemap tool in BlueVoda acts similarly to the Google or Yahoo spiders. It crawls the site to find the pages. If you have missed links to those pages then the crawler may fail to find them or if there are no references to those pages from the pages that the crawler has found again, they will be missed.
Make a list of the pages then see which ones are getting missed and check to see there is something within the site linking to them. You can also use the Link Checker tool to help with this.

Google is reporting the number of links to your site that it has detected. Whilst the external links may exist (I believe you!) Google has not yet crawled those pages and found the links OR found the links to be worth following and recording. Yahoo site Explorer is a far better tool for determining external links. Google may or may not show your links as they are fairly cagey about this due to linking being an important part of their ranking system.

Posting to forums may or amy not get you a backlink to your site. Many forums operate their comments functions with a "nofollow" command which Google will obey. That means the GoogleBot will find the link, then see that it is a nofollow link and...not follow it!

    Thanks for the reply.
Ive checked the pages and they links all work fine. I have no idea what is.
Maybe if I add the missing pages manually to the sitemap, would this still help with optimisation?
And design a sitemap for the users of the site.

If I remember correctly crawlers cannot find a URL/link if it is in a javascript function or if it uses uppercase.
That is why you see a duplicate set of text links used as a footer.
