Thread: Link relevance

First of all, check out this rather handy site, http://www.linkmarket.net .

Now to the point, If a site was to link to my site that had no relevance to my site ( eg a ball point pen site links to a under wear site ) would this help or hinder?

And if anyone could explain the basics of link building this would be a great help.

Unless you made the point that the ball point pen was to be used to write on some underwear then the 2 sites have nothing in common and would then hinder both sites.

relevance is the operative word......................

Welllllllllllllll .. that depends on how creative you are.. If you are selling MENS underwear for instance.. and You have a section in your link directory for MENS GIFTS-Office accessories or something.. then it COULD be relevant.
