don't forget to put your robot.txt file up

I have robot text file in my root directory which google have given a 200 status. I have a site map in my root diectory, google are now starting to index my site but I cannot get verified in site maps "General HTTP errors" any ideas

who done your site map in your root diectory, did you do it yourself or have you got a ror.xml file.
as the General HTTP errors are web address errors as in http://www.yoursite.com and might be written as http:/www.
check your site map for errors in the address.
