I have just come across a very interesting website:

He provides many services, but one of them is free PHP scripts. One in particular is called PHP Robot Visit - what it does when installed on your site is, everytime your website gets spidered by a search engine it sends you an instant email. This is very handy if your unsure to whether you are being indexed properley.

P.S. this is free software and steve dawson doesn't mind anyone using it, all he asks is that you don't remove his name or site name from anything.

Our stats in our control panel tell us every time we are spidered by se's also - BV has a great product, with great stats.
