Question One monthly fee for multiple sites?

I have read alot about VodaHost, but it's still unclear to me as to how it is possible to have multiple websites hosted for one fee of $7.95 per month. Could you explain this to me please. I'd love to set up more stores in the future.

I am currently hosting at StoresOnline, but am starting to rebuild my site with Blue Voda.

When you open an account with Vodahost, you can add and control
multiple domain names from the single account.
Its quite easy to set up using your own personal Control Panel.

You will also have many other free goodies available.

Come and join us, you will not regret it.

    Hi Sheryl
You can host I think as many sites as you want with your Vodahost account. When you sign up you receive one domain name for free. After that you pay for additional domain names, but you can use your original vodahost account for control all of them.. so you don't have to pay 'extra' for each site you manage.. did that make sense?

Thanks David and Liz. It sounded like such a good deal I thought there had to be a catch? . Like I said, I only have one site now, but am definitely thinking "multiple streams of income" down the road. Having them all under one hosting fee will be a huge monthly savings! Thanks again.

    Hi Sheryl, This is Beth

There are things that would require you to have multiple hosting accounts. If you use BV and a separate cart like I do (CM or Mal's or paypal) you'll be able to build as many as you like.

If you want to use Soho or one of the other ecommerce carts - and add SSL to the sites (which you don't need with the other method) - you'll then have to have multiple accounts.

Just don't want to have you say later we missed anything! And Soho only allows one instance of their software per account. But you could have one Soho (or any other of the ones that need SSL) and multiple BV built sites.

Oh, and if you do like me and pay for your hosting annually (or for 3 years like I did) - the fee goes down even more!

Good to see you over here.

Hi, Beth! You are one busy lady between forums.

I've been playing around with BV and CartManager all day today. My "original" Cust-M-Cartoons site (pre-SOI) was built with Dreamweaver and hosted through *********, which also had cPanel. I used "CoolCart" which is html based like CartManager. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I'm sure I can figure out these two new "systems".

I like CartManager's coupons and gift certificates. Nice that certificates don't have to be used all at once.

I'm thinking if I can figure out an "Add to Cart" button for one of my products, with all the variations, I should be able to cut and paste that into each product page and change item description in code. I'm pretty sure that's what I did before. Maybe it won't take me as long to rebuild at I thought.

I figure my monthly costs would be about $16.48/month. Not a real significant difference, but considering I can add more stores at the same price . . . that's tremendous.

I'll definitely be getting back to you for CartManager. Not sure what that PHP thing is that you mentioned as far as my pages go, so will have to check on that as well.

Have a great day, and thanks for all your expertise.

    Sheryl
