I have been playing with this and am trying to link one page to another. I have saved two files in the bvp format. The first is my front page which I called index. The second is just a picture. When I open my index page, add a text box, double click on it and highlight it and click the link button I get to the link box (of course). I then change the http to file and browse to find my picture. I get a message that says it can't find it. I know it is saved as a bvp and I think it is looking for a html extension. How do I change it from bvp to html. Sincerely, Stark |

you dont change anything from bvp to html....bv does it for you when you publish. Go back into your text box, select the text, click on the jolly green icon(top menu) and make sure that the link is something like this: http://mywebsitename.com/nameofthepa...pictureis.html well not exactly that but I hope you get the picture (pun intended) have fun edit: some of the above lost in the translation: http://webname.come/pagename.html |

Hi David, Thanks for the reply. I learned I don't have to do anything to the file name. But when I click on the jolly green icon to link, why do I use the http instead of the file selection as what I'm trying to link to is on my computer? I've tried moving my file to a temp folder on the root directory to make it easier to find, but it is still not finding it. Sincerely, Stark |

Hi Stark, ***** is right, you need to watch a few more tutorials. You cannot link to a file on your computer. You need to publish your home page (index) On the home page , you set up a text or pic link to the second page that contains the picture or any other objects................ |

Hi David, I think I've learned something else that I can't link to a file on my computer. When you say I need to publish my home page (index) do you mean I have to join first? I'm not against it, but thought I was going to design my site, then join. Thanks for the previous help. Sincerely, Stakr |
