Thread: First time site builder...a bit apprehensive!

I like what I see with BlueVoda and VodaHost...but of course, before I sign up, I have questions...since I have never built a web site.

I wish to build an organization-related site. In building this site, before I publish it, there will be much material/info going in, and I will not be able to put it all together in one sitting before I publidh it. How do I save/retain my material/info in order to go back to it and pick up where I left off?

How do I copyright my material and site?

What is the difference between .org and .com??

Since my site will be relative to a service organization ((Lions Clubs International) would like to build a nice clean site without Ad banners or pop ups. Is this possible?

I will answer your questions in the order which they where asked.

1)All your material will be saved on your local computer.

2)If you publish any "original" material by default it is copyrighted.
But to be on the safe side I suggest you contact your lawyer.

3).org stand for organization & .com stands for commercial. if you are
doing a Lions website. I would go with a .org extenstion.

4) We do not put any banners or pop ups on any of our customers sites.

I am wondering which site builder I should use the regular one or soholaunch. I want a site with shopping cart, paypal for retail sales

Try them both out, try out Soholuanch first. It is really a matter of personal opinion.
