After watching the tutoriasl (excellent advice!), download Blue Voda and start playing with it. Helps if you have an idea of what you want your site to be about. I had a rough idea with my first site, and then searched the web to see what others were doing. I then got ideas for topices for about six pages, so designed and published these. That site has now got over 100 pages! Oh, and has been completely redesigned since as well as I've learned new things.

Jump in and give it a go is my advice - you'll soon find it addictive (and end up with more and more sites too probably!)
