Thread: Inserting text in site that I created in word

I have created my text for my website. now I want to insert the text into my website that I am building. I haven't upload yet. I tried to copy paste but wouldn't work. what am I missing? I did search the videos. thanks, Dave

Ok, you've got your web page opened in the BlueVoda website builder, right? If so, then click on the text tool, (up by the arrow in the yellow square). That puts the text entry area on your page. Double click in the text entry area and backspace the text that is already there, then "paste" your text into it. The text entry area expands automatically to accommodate the amount of text you have to paste.
After the paste; you can stretch the text area to whatever size you want by "dragging" the sizing handles.

Be very careful copying over your text from word - Word is not an html editor - and in some cases, you'll also be copying over somethings that might not show properly. Just double check everything. I do suggest you do your typing in notepad instead - to avoid this problem.

Beth is correct...The best move is to copy and paste it in to a notepad document first...This will rip out any html code or anything else that is trying to tag along for the ride....After you do this.....Copy and paste form notepad into BlueVoda.

Oh my! I wish I knew that. I have been working hours copy paste out of word. do I have to start over? thanks, Dave

If you are not having any issues, you do not need to start over. But from now on...the above is good advice.
