Thread: question about content

I was thinking about creating a islamic related site for news, and general discussion topics. I was checking your Terms of Service and was somewhat concerned about a certain line.....

" Examples of Totally Unacceptable material:
...........Hate sites - Nazis, KKK, Islamic Jihad Bull**** and any other type of anti-democratic or anti-American hate group. "

JIHAD, as presented in the Quran, is almost always in the context of " hard work" or " struggle ", and is usually presented in a non-violent spiritual sense.
This will be the purpose of my site.

I don't mean to start a religous discussion, but since my religion is the only one mentioned, I would hope that a peacefull but honest site for Muslims opinions would be welcome here.

Of course you are correct. All religions, races and content is fully
welcomed as long as it is peaceful, legal and respects the rights of
others.

Unfortunately the word “Jihad” lately has been hijacked and manipulated
by some very evil people for their own purposes. I am fully aware of the
holy Quran since I have read it.

This is EXACTLY why I qualified my statement by saying “Islamic
Jihad Bull****” I think any peace loving Muslim reading those three
words understands EXACTLY what I mean.

Basically I do not want any type of hate sites on my servers. It does not
matter if they are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, or Martian.
a hate site is a hate site. The only purpose they serve is to offend and
piss off others. Their is to much hate in this world already. So by banning
extremist websites I feel that I am doing my little part (However
Insignificant It May Be) to make the world a better place.

Please understand the Internet operates on a global basis. Anybody
and everybody who has a computer and an internet connection has
the ability to set up a VodaHost account. If hate sites where not a
problem in the past, I would have even of mentioned them.
