Thread: Linking to a large PowerPoint show

Dear Vodahost,
I have a large PowerPoint.pps file which includes audio. So far, I've created a page with a hyperlink to this file within Bluevoda.
When I open the page in html preview and try to download or open the file as a test, it does download but the file seems to have shrunk and all the audio files are missing!!!

What is going wrong?
Is there a limit to the size of Powerpoint files that can be downloaded from my site?

I have tried zipping the file and creating a link to that but when I open the page in the html preview it doesn't seem to work at all.

There is no limit. What is the download link so I can test it?

Thank you for the quick reply.

The PowerPoint file is about 34 mb (it includes a lot of wave files).

What I would like is that a visitor click on the link and be offered the opportunity to download the file in its entirety.

When I've tried this on my own pc it does download but the file size is about 1.5mb (major difference in size) and the wave files are missing.

I should add that I am not a member yet.

Is that the problem to you think?

You've heard this before but the web building software is soooo easy to use.

I had to check though that the documents I upload on my own site can be downloaded by others as intended.
