    Default ssl certificate and paypal

I'm an author and will be selling e-books. While doing research on web hosting I came across BV and I like what I see. But I have a question for you.

In order to use paypal on your website are you required to have an ssl certificate? I'm confused over this matter. I've been looking through the posts and it seems like I'm reading that you and you don't. So, I just want to clarify.

    Thanks,
    cherylislds

No you don't have to have an SSL certificate. This is because PayPal is handling the secure transaction for you and you will never see the customer's financial info.

Now I believe there are higher levels of PayPal accounts (that you pay for) that does require a certificate, which I think you can get thru PayPal. PayPal has a ton of info on all the services they offer, so you should also spend sometime reading their info.

When using the free PayPal accounts with BV; go to PayPal itself to create the various buttons. They offer more options for the buttons than the built-in buttons provided on BV.

Edit: Sorry Karen....you out typed my two finger style!! LOL
