Thread: New site

Hi all, im completley new to all this website stuffand have a few questions please? (i haven't bought a domain name yet)

- I'm trying to make a web page for our race team and need to put videos on one of the pages, how do they get on the page. I mean when i publish the page that has the videos on it, doe bluevoda automatically upload the videos to their server? or are they played straight from my computer?

- I've made most of the site now using bluevoda, i have some "glass buttons" that have different names, but when i click preview it shows two of the buttons with the same name/text? Will this go when it's publshed?

- When i get my domain name, it says that if i choose to go to another hoster they will transfer it to them, but what if i just stop paying for it, i know the site will go "off/down" but will the domain name still be mine and so no one else can get it?

As long as you paid for the name its yours.

You will have to upload the videos to your account.

They will transfer your domain name to another hoster.

Thanks for the speedy reply karen. Do the videos get uploaded via that "control panel" that i've been reading about?

Also, if you want to have more than one domain, do i have to pay for each domain? so if i had three sites, and they were on that tri-annual deal would i have to pay three times as much?

Yes you could upload them via cpanel..

The hosting wouldnt cost you any more..however, you have to buy the domain names. You could have all three sites on one account not a problem.
