If so, how do I buy, just a domain name and how much.

As many as you wish, as long as they are for your use only.

If purchasing through VH? Go to this link & after about the 3rd page you will be asked to select domain only or with an account. (naturally select domain only)

If its for your own personal use? No! But you cant use your account for other peoples websites, this needs another account for each person.
