Thread: Thought I got 1 free domain name???

I signed up 1 week ago and transferred my existing web account to VodaHost. Now I need to purchase a new web domain name and I'd like to add it as a "sub" under my new account. How come I am being charged for the new account name? I thought (1) was free with every new account? And to boot, I just received an email today saying that all transfers are now free with a new account, and I paid to have mine transferred!

Can anyone en-lighten me on this before I do anything else?

1) All new vodahost account holders are entitled to one free domain
registration at time of purchase. If you click the below link ( The link
that you signed up with). You will see that it tells you exactly how to
get your free domain.

2) We only started doing free transfers on the 22nd. of April, You are now
entitled to one free transfer, but we can not credit or refund the transfer
fee already paid, this is a new promotion.

I've tried that link. And I know to enter the coupon code for the free domain. That would be great if It wasn't treating me as a new customer. When I continue thru the screens (after entering the coupon code) it creates a brand new account and reflects the charge for a new account! That link will (not) help me, as I have already paid for the new account (last week). Just haven't applied for the free domain name yet.

You can not turn back time and use the coupon on a
purchase you already made.

You can only use the coupon on new purchases.

I don't understand. How could I have missed what????
I kept reading how a 'new' name resistration would be FREE with any new account. Nowhere did it say "Enter coupon code now & register new name now to qualify". I wanted to transfer my existing acount 1st (as primary) then get the new one as sub-domain. It doesn't apply that way?

I just referred to the link above. Understand the coupon policy fully now. I did not see that (clause 8.2) written anywhere during my new account sign on. If I had - I would not be bothering you with it now.
