Thumbs up Newbie Questions

Hi all! first off I'd like to say what an amazing web-builder Blue Voda is!

Secondly, being a TOTAL beginner to web-design, I am just creating a few pages at present, but have a few questions to ask before I proceed further:

1, How much is the hosting package? and does it vary taking into account how many web-pages etc you have created?

2, How diverse is the program, ie can I install a script into the site I created such as an auction type script etc? and if so, how does that effect the hosting pay options taking this into account?

3, Can I create a chatboard type site within Blue Voda, or do I have to install a chat-board script into the site somehow?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

Sorry to sound naive, but how would the plug in work?

Sorry I forgot to include something.

The kind of site I wish to create will be simlar to: http://www.rollonfriday.com/

If you click "Community" and then discussion board, that's ideally the kind chat-board I'd like to inclue within my Blue Voda created website.

When you mentioned a plug in, can you explain how that would work, and if it would be possible to create a web-site with chat-board like the one mentioned above with Blue Voda.

Many thanks!

That looks more like a forum - and you can have a forum. but you might want more of an official answer than from me for that.

I hope Racefan doesn't mind me using his site - but he has a forum - see if this would work for you:

That's a BV site, so yes, you can do that.

BV is Blue Voda.

If you look again at the features that ***** suggested:
http://www.vodahost.com/features.htm

you'll see the forum feature is listed.

Thanks again Bethers, it's just if you take a look thatwebsite I originally included and view their discussion board, it's alot different to the usual types and is easy to follow and fits in discreetly within the site.

Most forum/discussion board scripts seem the same looking, but what I need is one like that website has, so not sure if this is possible?

You might have to pay for one and do it as an add-on then. There are various boards out there - see who that one comes from and what it's requirements are to use it.
