Thread: New User - Step by step to e commerce

Hi!

I am sure you have answered this a million times, but I got lost in all the possible choices (and am on dial-up). It looks good, and I am being referred by an existing happy customer.

I am considering moving my existing web site to your service and adding a shopping cart. Your list of features includes free merchant accounts. How does this work? (I am in Canada, eh.)

Do you have any tools to help transfer an existing site?
What is the step-by-step?

My current site is http://www.nurturalhorse.com. We sell No-Bit (Bitless) Bridles and will be expanding our product line to more shipped products as well as e-books.

Simple!
Take the time to look at the tutorials and video training for each cart to see more details of how each cart works, and what you prefer.

Search these Forums and sub-Forums, studying the threads (even on the earlier pages) to learn more of the issues and common discussions to get a clearer picture of what you intend to accomplish.

Since the commerce solutions provided with each VodaHost account are 3rd party products, you should be aware that limited support is available in the VodaHost Forums, and best sourced from the support Forums for each product.

And....you can do so very much with a VodaHost website, but you must do the work:

A. Do the homework
B. Make a decision based on your real needs
C. Commit to your Plan
D. Implement your Plan

I agree that there are no shortcuts to success, but when you offer "Free Merchant Accounts" as a feature ... I would think it would be easier to find a shortcut to that information.

I am on dial-up, and searching all the forums for basic information is a bit prohibitive!

Do you really have free merchant accounts? I watched the tutuorial and envision no problems installing the software for the shopping cart, if I can see how to link to a merhcant account.

I would appreciate a link to information on how to get a free merchant account.

Free merchant accounts are readily available all over the internet if you
do a bit of research, Not all merchant providers are created equal.
We have devoted dozens of hours in researching and seperating the
good, the bad from the ugly. And have lots of practical first hand
experience to share.

If you already have a merchant account set up, you most likely do not
require a second one, unless you are not satisfied with your current provider.

Rates vary depending on situation and business risk factor.
