A Carboot/Flea Market Area

I know I love flea markets, yard sales and as some "lot" would say Carboots .lol. I do also realize that many people have websites that also sell these types of things, however, to roam around websites looking takes forever, ....

If there were room here on the forum, maybe under classifieds, that we could have a thread for buying & selling, we could maybe post an item that we have for sale, you know like collectibles, antiques, rare, hard to find items, or even just things that we no longer need and particularly something from another's country that I couldn't possibly find here ...

So, I'd like to see a "fun area" where members could post some of their "treasures" that they are willing to part with and we could buy??

Good Idea or Bad Idea??

Too much to control? Would it get out of hand? Is the trust in each other too much to ask for? Like we wouldn't hold VodaHost responsible for any transactions, would all be buyer/seller related and the responsibility too ....

Maybe this is not even allowed?

It could maybe be done in the same format as vodabids and called something like VodaAuction or VodaBid. I don't really know but sounds like a good idea Ladyeye. Ebay getting a bit same old same old now and is getting too pricey anyway so this would be a breath of fresh air.

David what's the postage and packing on these two delicate items?

Are they expensive to keep?

Do they do as they are told?

Could we have a bit more of a detailed description please

Not to put a dampener on things but how is one supposed to pay for items. if your talking something like paypal or the likes then ok, but anything else then forget it, i know that not everyone is as crooked as me and some are quite descent. but hay can of worms comes to mind.

Excellent point Dude, and yes, paypal accounts by those wanting to buy or sell would definitely do the trick, but I'd take a "can of worms" from you anyday ...

It seems as though some buyers are anxious ... it would be great to hear from others as well ... the more the merrier, (and might help to enable this feature).

hmmm CL .. while your items are certainly pretty interesting, I think your opening bid is "pretty crumby"
