Hi there I think there Should be a www. domainname.ie address for the people in ireland you did it for india who agrees vote in the poll         |

It does not depend on Vodahost but on the Irish State. They don't allow domain name registration outside Ireland.

No, it depends on National Regulations. It is like that for most countries.

If I understand it correctly, you can still purchase that domain name and point the servers here - so you'd have an .ie address. Many countries have strict rules on who can purchase their domain names and want to keep it controlled.

you do understand correctly as i just found out so i went to get a .ie address and they cost a Fortune!! i wanted a .com one but its taken, aahh |
