Thread: Prevent Spam - WP API Key

Hi guys i have installed word press blog from fantasico and i was to assign the word press API Key so that i can prevent spam from coming in. For whatever reason it doesn't show when i go to profile- options.

You need to ask this where u got the api key, or on the wordpress forum

Thanks for the quick reply karen, got it all sorted now. Basically i created a brand new account with word press, instead of choosing create blog i chose create username. Checked my email, activated new account, logged in to admin panel, copied the Api key from my profile.

Logged back into my orginal word press account, activated the Akismet plugin and pasted the Api key into my original blog. Worked Perfectly! Thankfully i won't have to deal with spam anymore.
