Please assist, preferably some one who does not have headache attacks when answering newby/possibly stupid questions like mine. I have tried to steer clear fo this forum and get answers in a wordpress forum, but no go after 5 days of waiting. Have retried today again. Problem. I have edited and completed various wordpress posts, these are clearly visible in my dashboard. 1. Having edited them and uploaded again, with alterations - where and how do I republish them? The corrected posts are visible from within my dashboard but seem to remain there. I want to view the real post that is on the web just as others who do not get to my dashboard would. 2. So, if the upload of the edited post alter the published directly withpout having to republish the edited post/page a.)how do I know? and b.)where do I see. 3. If I wish to refer to a wordpress post in my website, what would the url for a specific post be please? Thank you |

In WordPress, you don't "upload". 1. When you create a new post, look at your right side of the page. It gives you four choices: Save draft, Preview, Delete, Publish. You already know that. 2. When you modify your existing post, it gives you two major choices: Preview changes and Update post. After making changes to your post, you can Preview those changes and then when you click Update Post, it will re-publish the post. The link to your specific post from your website is the way you normally make a link. Your post has a title. Take that title and use it as a page to complete the link like so: http://www.mywebsiteworkout.com/word...earch-engines/ http://www.mywebsiteworkout.com/ is my domain name wordpress is the name of the blog, the category is marketing and the rest is the name of the post. The above will work only if I understood your question correctly. |

In your dashboard, under Settings, click Permalinks Select Custom Structure Enter "/%category%/%postname%/" without the quotes. You probably have done that. Google advises to do that. Your title for the post "Use Trading Robots - Get Fleeced" WordPress converts this title into use-trading-robots-get-fleeced only if you have done the above exercise. So if you have created a category, let's say, Example, then you would access your post as http://forextraderspa.com/example/use-trading-robots-get-fleeced/ There is no extension of any sort. It ends with '/'. When you publish or re-publish (Update) your post, if you wanna send a link of the post to someone or use it in another post, bring up that post on your screen as a single post by clicking on the title of your post look in your browser address field the complete link would appear. you copy that URL and use it some place else. This will work only if I understood your question correctly. |

Hello Wys, Thank you for replying and helping. Regret the late reply, almost seems that I am ungrateful for your assiatance. Not the case at all. Indisposed. Reason remains forboten to enumerate on this site, as I was told explicitly. Wys your last post to me reads in part as follows In your dashboard, under Settings, click Permalinks Select Custom Structure Enter "/%category%/%postname%/" without the quotes. You probably have done that. Google advises to do that. I have looked in the little pull down menus on the side and elswhere in my dashboard page but see no button or link that says settings... could you explain further please. How does Google fit into this? More mysteries to me. Aside from the above, I understand your previous replies/explanations, Thank you. The posts that I have, are they in some way "get attable' on my main blogg page?... I still cant get to my main blogg page to see. http://forextraderspa is the name of my blogg. If I can get into that (dont know how must be something missing from the URL) would I than click on the title of a post, which I presume will be on the blogg, and that would than open the post? Provided it was published to the blogg as a post or page? Thank you Hans |

| Click this to log in to your blog What you can do is to have a log in feature on your blog so you will not lose it again. Once you log in, on your dash board (that's the column on the left) scroll down to see Settings and then follow the above what I posted previously. |

1. I just looked at your blog. You do have Log in. Bookmark your blog as your favorite. 2. I didn't see Home on your blog. If you do, then it's OK else create one so customer can go back to the latest post. 3. If you plan to create many more posts, then after displaying three or four posts, you can have "Older Entries" and "New Entries" at the end of the screen when fully scrolled or indication to that effect. 4. On your website http://forextraderspa.com/ I didn't see a link to your blog. If you do, then it's OK else create a link to your blog http://forextraderspa.com/tradingprofits/ Will be good for the customers and you will not lose it again. |
