  • New IBM Laptop

Hello everyone. I was looking for a chat group about IBM and found this one that seems related. I recently acquired an off-lease used IBM laptop, which is an R40 2227 model. I'm finding XP a real change and challenge, as well as trying to handle differences in IBM. I belong to a local computer club and camera club, at which we do share some general information. I'll enjoy reading your experiences.

A computer store here in Ontario had a good selection of off-lease IBM's, and this laptop looked like a good choice. I'm sorry not to have a manual though. If I had gone directly to IBM in Toronto I could probably have bought a manual and a restore disk under the 3-month warranty, which would be nice. I didn't know that then.

Don't know what this means. I asked a question last night and can't find it anywhere. Just wonder where it went.

Yours is a PC related question this is the right place, by posting in other BV forums you'll only confuse yrself.

Call the support desk at IBM - look at their website and ask about a manual.
