I think there is a book called 'Website Building for Dummie" - no implication that you are one Nick...BUT I am and it's the one I'd go with and oh yeah they have one for the internet as well and for html code....lol....I think a lot of us (dummies) are out there...Below is a link to books on the internet...

The forums are excellent but I was thinking for reading in bed and my computer is a bit big to sit on my lap!

HI Nick, I would also recommend Internet for Dummies. the title is a bit condescending but it's definitely a good one to start with. Or like Bill says, post questions here, somebody is sure to know the answers, lots of long standing internet users here.

Hi Rob

Can you email me via your local, my email to you keeps getting bounced back.
I've been down the libary and grabbed a load Internet for dummies was one of them, just thought it'd be good to have a book or two quick reference.

The warbowing goes well, did you see my video on the site of me shooting my new yew warbow (I'm Nick A not Nick B!). I'll scan some of the kids piccies tomorrow and send them over. Wish I was in Jamaca!
