  • How would I create a animated boat pulling a marquee behind it?

I have a .GIF file I would like to have pulling a marquee across the screen, and then the .GIF leaves the page but does not take the marquee with it.

Something like the following................ But done using BV!!!!!!!!!!

Marquee = --- > [ Boats And More Boats ] Trawler pulling marquee. Trawler leaves [ Boats And More Boats ] centered on page. Trawler moves off the page and is gone.

Name:	boat_009sm_w.gif

Size:	2.9 KB
ID:	498359 This is the Trawler I want pulling the above mentioned marquee. This Trawler is an animated .GIF file.......

Trawler is same as shown here but the marquee Marquee is to act as the header file when it has finished moving across the page.

    Ram-

Is this what you are looking for?

    http://www.netisopen.com/test/boattest.html

If so- you first need to flip your boat from right to left. Paint can do this very eaisly. Then name the picture boat and save as either a gif or a jpg. and upload to the server.

Then open a html box and paste the following code- changing the words that I have put (The boat is pulling the words.....) to what ever you wish.
    Save and publish.

    <marquee width=400 height=40 direction="left"><img src="boat.gif"><font face="Comic Sans MS" size=5 color="#CC33FF">
The boat is pulling the words across your page..... </font></marquee>

You may also make the width bigger or smaller depending on your need.

As far as leaving a picture behind once part of the marquee disappears- that is beyond my ability. I believe that would be flash. Perhaps you would find the answer in vodabids?

    Cheers,

    Andy

      is it something like this?

There is one here that stops after one go, you have to refresh the page to repeat it.

I use a program called Swishmax which you will find here

It is heck of a lot cheaper than Macromedia flash (which is now owned by Adobe).
There are some free flash builders although they are slightly more limited.
