  • My website doesn't show up

Hi, I am new to all of this so I hope someone can help. I have built my website using Bluevoda, and have published it. But when I search for it, http://www.weeklypokertimes.com, I get this message.
    phpBB:critical Error
    could not connect to database
I really am stuck here so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

are you trying to install phpBB on your root directory?

When you install the forum, it will ask what directory you want to use. Simply type in forum and procede to install.

Once it is done installing the web address to your forums will be:

        http://www.yourdomain.com/forum

When you are saving your pages make sure they are lowercase.

Your main page should be saved as "index".

I checked it is named "index", all pages are in lowercase with no spaces. Any other ideas?

When you're removing the installation are you doing this manually or actually going back to its section in Fantastico and uninstalling it from there?

Also once you've uninstalled it, go to your web pages and re-publish it to your root directory. Then view to see whether your website shows up. If it does then you can proceed to re-install the PHPBB back making sure that you type a name for the folder and not installing it directly into the root directory.

If all else fails then raise a support ticket.
