  • Can I have a downloadable word file on my site?

How, if at all, can I have a word document readily downloadable from a page of my site please?
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Re: Can I have a downloadable word file on my site?

In order to be the most compatible across many computer users, I would suggest that you turn any document into a pdf file. PDF files are the most common type file. I would hate for you to create a word document using MS Word and then the person on the other end does not have MS Word to open it up. Almost everyone runs adobe reader on their computers and therefore, will be able to open the pdf document.

There are many free programs out there to convert regular documents to pdf. http://www.pdf995.com/ This one is my favorite. Give it a try.
There are others- so if you don't like this one, do a google search on pdf
converters and you will have an abundance to choose from.

Once created- simply use the FTP Manager to upload it to the server. Then create a link to it. Example: http: //www.mywebsite.com/letter.pdf

    Cheers-
