Help with graphics/photos

Can someone tell me if I can do these things with bv?

1. soften the edges of a photo or graphic so I don't see the hardline

2. Make the photo or graphic appear in 3d as if it is on a button

3. Add shadows or blur around the edges

And if I CAN'T do these thing with BV what is a good program that will allow this and that would be fairly user friendly?

You need a photo editing application to achieve the effects you are looking for. A good one is Paintshop Pro, or ULEAD Photo Impact, which are offering a free trial of the latest version. You could try it at http://www.ulead.com I highly recommend Photo Impact and it's affordable should you decide to buy it after the trial.
