View Full Version : Adding 'subscribe now' feature

I want to add an element to one of my sites where by people can sign up for a monthly emailed newsletter.

All I need from them is their name and email address.

I would want them to verify their email and be able to send newsletter's once a month that put their first names in automatically.

How easy is this as loads of sites seem to have it. Any free software or features of bluevoda that can do it?

place a bluevoda form with script.Add a tick box for newsletter.

You will find the tutorials under forms.

Another option for you is to tell them about your newsletter and if they would like to subscribe, you could highlight the word subscribe and link the words to your email (done the same way as you link a word) one thing I would highly recommend if you do this is to use the email riddler, provided to us here by Naval ... this encrypts your email address so that spammers do not get it ... this is the easiest way I think ....
here is the link ....

your subscribers would then send an email to you to be added to your list .... you have their email address to send your newsletter to ....

email servers tend to like at the most 30 emails going out at once, so if you have alot of subscribers, separate your lists up in groups of 30, and send five or ten minutes apart from each other, be courteous of the time of day you send as well, avoid high traffic times ....
