  • Would love to put a piece of music on my site.

I received a piece of music from someone written by themselves on their struggles with anxiety. I would love to be able to add this to my site, but have no idea how to do this, could anyone possibly point me in the right direction, any pros or cons to doing this also?.

    Regards Paul

Make sure you have their permission.

It should be a wave (.wav) or (.mp3). Those are easy to add with
      the bv tools.

Yes he is a very good friend of mine that I have helped in the past and he has given me full permission to use it.

He actually sent me the file through m.s.n as a document and looking at the properties and it says mp3 audiofile, so what is my next step. Sorry if there is a tutorial, if so I will follow the link, I just wanted to see how hard or simple it was to do.

        Thanks for any help.

If you want to add it as background music on one of your web pages ...

you right click on your page and go to properties, then the background tab, and then you will see sound ... you browse for your file and insert it there ... it will start playing when your page is opened .... you can also choose to have it play just once, or loop or as many times as you want ...

            Hi Ladyeye,

Thank you for the response, but I would rather it be one that someone could chose to listen to, it is 7 minutes long and I know some people like to read and find it hard with music in the background.

So if anyone could advise thanks in advance.

Re: Would love to put a piece of music on my site.

Hi Paul! what your doing is a really wonderful thing! maybe I can help.

On the left side of your BV
              click real player
              double click that
              click browse
              choose your mp2 file
              then click ok
then play with the display options to make it what you want it to be.
by selecting control panel and stretching out the 'real' icon on BV you can then have a panel so others can start/stop/pause/and mute

                Thanks Kassi,

I am very busy at the moent updating the site and writing articles, I will hopefully get round to following your advice later and let you know how I get on. It is a lovely song written and sung by himself, hope one or two will pop in and have listen.

                Kind Regards
