Setting up email accounts...

I have tried this a few months back. I know I need to watch the turorials,, and try it out,, But i have.
I might be missing a step here or there..
Firstly,
Can we send an email to over 500 people with one shot?
If not, what is the max?
I need to be able to send out mass emails...
Can anyone out there give me simple step by step steps to set up an email account for my webpage?

Sending 500 emails at once will jam up any server ....

It is best, if you have a mailing list of this size, to separate in increments of about thirty ... this would mean you would need 17 or so mailing lists ... just name them mailinglist1 - mailinglist2 - etc. etc., it is best to avoid peak internet times when sending out mass mailings as well ... you may be able to increase to 40 or so, but 30 is the preferred number to send at once ... and of course, allow 10 to 15 minutes in between sending each mailing list ...

In so far as setting up your email, you go into your web mail, and add the email address you want to use .... e.g., contact@yourdomainname.com and then you would need to configure your outlook, or outlook express, or whatever you use, according to the tutorial suited to you ...
