Newbie question about pdf's

Is it possible to post pdf's on my website and have people able to click on a picture representing a pdf so they can then download the pdf themselves?

Yes. Simply upload the file to the server and use the image to link to it.

I didn't ask for a domain name, it isn't important to the question. You will, however, need to have a hosting account before you can publish anything, including your pdf file.
