Hi vodahosters,

On my site, http://www.videoproduceronline.com, I have testimonials and websites of customers and instead of losing the site viewer with a clinkable outgoing link to their site, I just have a text link (not hyperlinked) to add the social proof and testimonials.

But someone was telling me that after some testing and tracking, they found they closed more sales with a pop-up link, so at least customers can see the credibility and truth to the testimonial and website. Here is what I'm trying to do. If you go to this site and click the "Law Office" Link, it pops up without opening up another page or redirecting altogether.

http://www.uscaonline.com/BBB_Link.html

I have tried different options in bluevoda with selecting the link and looking athe hyperlink options, but can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions or pointers?

Thanks,

Scott

Here is a thread in regards to pop up links, http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/scripts-fantastico/16864-pop-up-generator-text-links.html

but there are many more threads around to view as well ... do a search for pop ups ...

If you are attempting to have a link on your web page, that opens in a new window, set the target of the link to _blank

If you are attempting to have a link on your web page, that goes to another page without keeping your page open leave the target area of the link empty ....

_blank - opens link in new window
empty - opens link in same window

Many pop up scripts can be found at www.dynamicdrive.com (http://www.dynamicdrive.com)
but if you view posts in this forum you will find the ones that many have used and are proven to have worked ...

Hi, you can try this. Change the url below to your popup page, change the 300x300 to the size of your popup & change the 200x200 to the required position that it will appear when poping up.
Then place the code in the URL field of the hyperlink box.

#" onClick="window.open('http://www.mysite.com/mypage.html', '','scrollbars=1,width=300,height=300,left=200,top =200'); return false;"
