  • How can i duplicate a page

    Hi 4 all,

I just started my own business (A promotional Gift Co.)
I'm trying to build a website since the last 2 weeks
and just found this wonderful site from Google.
I search for an answer to my question but i didn't find one.

i want to create pages like: (already create the home page)
home page, Products, about us and contact us
on each page there will be a banner, site name, slogan, buttons and address on the exact place.
But I want to know how to duplicate a page with the same content at the same places.
so i can later full each page with a different material

    Thanks

Ok, not sure how others would do it but this works great for me. I have one site with over 500 pages and I did it this this way too...

Make your basic index page, then when finished, save it and publish it if you want to.

Once saved as 'index' then save it again but as your new page, i.e 'about me'

Then leave on your headings, logos, links and anything else (your basic layout) and remove all the rest that you don't want, then fill in the missing space with your new 'about me' text.

    Hope that makes sense.

Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

I really suggest you use the .php method for the things that will stay static on all pages. That way if and when you need to change them, you can change them globally. You can find the way to do this here:

why dont you just make a basic template page? then when you fill the page with what you want just "save as" somthing else then you still have your origanal to use again.
        Thanks
