    Re: speeds of uploads.

Hi, i am not sure of the exact speed? But usually a lot, lot slower on uploading. You can get the same speed both ways, but it will cost extra.
Well it costs extra in the UK.

        Re: speeds of uploads.

Usually upload is much slower than download. I am on a 4 MB ADSL and i can download with speeds up to 500 Mb, but i can rarely upload at more than 30 -50 Mb. And, it depends mainly on your ISP server load and connection to the internet backbone.

something that i have found is also the type of software u use to upload on my current server i used a ftp program but my server woud spot letting me upload after a hour and i wave to log in would have to log in again. so i edited the software to reload the server ever 59min so i can upoad all day. i was just wondering how fast it is. i upoad files ranging from 1.1mb to 450mb. will the server cope with it.

            Re: speeds of uploads.

Hi, it might be worth a look at the TOS that Vodahost has. I believe some things like streaming video & other high use transfers with shared servers are not allowed.
If assume this is to make it fair on all users & not bog the system down.
What type of files are you transferring?
            Regards Chris.

              Re: speeds of uploads.

The speed of your uploads is 100% dependent on the upload speed of your internet connection. Our servers connect to the internet at a rate of 100 to 1000 mbps. Your ISP will not provide you even 1% of this as an upload speed. Click the below to learn more about ADSL uploads....
