How to link Homepage to subpages

Hi,

Can somebody tell me how to link my homepage to my subpages. Everytime that I create a hyperlink on my homepage which must be directed to another subpage, it's give a failure message when I try the preview option. Is it only possible to link several pages together when you have publisched the site, or am I doing something wrong???
Please help me. My site is almost finished but I can't link my pages together.

You can only test the links after you have published the pages. You can test in preview, but the page you are linking to must already be published.

You will need to link your pages together with the use of your url, domain name and until you publish your website the url is not "live" ...
